Day & Night Donates $20,000 Air Conditioning Unit to AHS

Our frontline staff received a cool gift last week from an incredibly generous friend of AHS! Day & Night Air Conditioning, Heating and Plumbing, a local company that is passionate about giving back to the community, humbly donated an air conditioning unit, maintenance package and new parts for another unit, valued at more than $20,000, to our South Mountain Campus. This is the eighth consecutive year Day & Night has donated to our organization, totaling almost $180,000 in gifts meant to help keep our pets and people happy and healthy.

The new unit will help keep our South Mountain Campus staff cool and safe this summer. These team members include the Animal Cruelty Investigators on our Field Team, Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ and dispatchers responsible for saving thousands of sick, injured and abused pets every day. This generous donation comes just one year after Day & Night donated an air conditioning unit to our pioneering Sunnyslope Campus.

With the hot summer months being the most challenging time for shelters across the Valley due to dangerous temperatures, a prolonged kitten season and a record-breaking number of pets, this much-needed donation comes at a critical time. We’re so grateful to Day & Night Air Conditioning, Heating and Plumbing, known for their commitment to community service, for stepping up to keep the shelter’s staff cool and safe as temperatures rise.
